Well here it is, another Monday. I had a great weekend. I spent a lot of time with my husband and my son. Yea! We watched movies, more movies, and more movies. Good restful weekend before all you know what breaks loose with harvest season. My husband manages a tractor dealership and he will be out in the field with his farmers making sure the equipment they buy is working well. My son will works in the shop.

This looks like a great place to get away. The building appears to have a very open view of the water. I can also see an open patio area with a person on it. There is a person lying in the sand, I do not know if they are a visitor to the area just sleeping and relaxing, or perhaps a homeless person that has no other place to sleep but here. The water is crashing up against the boulder seawall and the water spray is going high up in the air. I can almost hear the sound the water is making as it crashes up against the seawall. The seagull is standing in the small pond of water waiting for a small fish perhaps.

Waters perspective:
I am so thunderous and determined to get past this seawall. I will not give up. I can come in easy and sneak around, through some small cracks and creavices. I could just gather up all my force and really bust right over the wall and wash away everything in my way. I am very powerful, yet I am very peacful. I am the color of blue saphires and the sounds I make can lull you right to sleep. If I am agitated, however I can be a force that can destroy anything in my way. Here today, I am at peace and I am enjoying being lazy and allowing myself to ebb and flow with a wonderful rythym. Yes, I am a little bit salt and some people love to get in and enjoy a good soak in my saltiness.

Well here we are and it is Tuesday. I went on my first job interview yesterday and boy was it different. I have never been put through a 15 minute interview session before. They were very organized and had their questions down on a form. I interviewed in front of four persons and each one asked at least two questions. I answered each and everyone. I had cotton mouth when I was finished. I left with a good feeling about the interview, I was just a little traumatized over how quickly it was done. I left there and went by to stop in and say hello to my husband and then left and headed back home to finish working on homework. It was so windy yesterday when I was outside. It almost felt like a storm was comming in.

What could I do with this brick:
balloon weight, pencil holder, paper weight, crack open pecans, begin building a pathway, use as an anchor to hold down something in place in the water, door stop, tire chock,

In my early childhood years I wrote a lot. I loved to create short stories. I had a teacher who encouraged me to write as much as possible. I would write anything about anything. I would take a pad and pencil and climb up in my favorite tree in the front yard and just start writing. It was very peaceful. I starting straying away from writing in the beginning of high school when it became a chore. It became something that had to be done for a grade. I always did very well, but I knew I was not writing my best. I wrote what I had to to get the grade. I guess if I had to classify myself as a particular type of writer, it would have to be a writer on hold. I never as an adult thought of just writing for pleasure or relaxation. I was always to busy taking care of business. I do write down a lot of notes. I know if I write it, I will remember it.

I was very appreciative of Kaylin and Mikes initiative on getting the ball rolling with our presentation. I had a very busy weekend with my grandson and my mother visiting. I was able to go online and download and print Chapter 3 and find my section, which Kaylin already assigned (yea!) and was able to read it and highlight the main points and focus only on what I am presenting. I really like it when I am placed with a group where all the members work independently preparing and then the finished product comes together beautifully. Breaking a chapter up and having each group member responsible takes a lot of the pressure off. I would like to thank Kaylin and Mike for their initiative and starting the ball to rolling.

Introducing Carol

I am Carol and I live in Portland. I will be graduating in August with my EC-4 Generalist degree. I have a daughter who is 27 years old and a son who is 16. I love to fish, compete in Bar-B-Que cookoffs, camp out and travel. I have been married almost 30 years to my high school sweet heart. I am finishing a dream by completing my education as a teacher. I have been working on this for 30+ years. I started at Texas A & M Kingsville back in 1978. I married my husband in 1980 and from that point on worked a full time job (usually accounting and managerial positions) and went to school when I could. I am living proof you can attain a dream if you are persistent (my husband just calls me stubborn). I love working with people in general, especially children. I was a 4-Her for 8 years and then became an adult leader for 20 years. I love working and teaching people.
