How to set up a blog page

Easy blog site:
-Go to http://www.google.com/
-Click on "more" at the top of the tool bar
-Click on "even more", this opens up a second page with many sites
-Look to the right hand column and click on "Blogger"
-Sign up - it's easy, just follow the instructions

Why Blog? A blog page has so many opportunities to allow students and teachers to set up
collaborative projects in all subject areas. Literary circles can be created and monitered on a blog page. Classrooms will no longer have physical boundaries, students from other countries could be brought into your classroom to share and learn together.

We as educators can utilize blogging to reach out to other educators for assistance and ideas. I firmly believe the more input on teaching the more teaching we can do.

HOW TO EMBED A VOICE THREAD:

-Go to www.voicethread.com and browse for a voice thread you like
-Click on the little cog wheel in the upper left hand corner and this will bring up several options
-Click on "embed"
-Pick your blog site and click on it
-Enter your blogger info
